This past April, OKGN Co. had the honour of documenting Coyote Brings The Food at Thompson Rivers University (TRU). Led by our talented photographer, Beth Taylor, we captured a gathering that was much more than an event—it was an experience that deeply moved everyone present.
Celebrating Indigenous Leadership and Food Sovereignty at TRU
Coyote Brings The Food celebrated the strength and leadership of Indigenous women in food sovereignty and climate resilience. Hosted in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, it was a call to action. Attendees listened, learned, and engaged with powerful Indigenous voices driving change from across the globe.
This contract was more than just event photography. It was about preserving the raw essence of a movement that’s shaping the future.
CBTF brought together Global Indigenous Knowledge Makers, elders, faculty, TRU alums, and students. Throughout the event, ideas were shared ideas, dialogue was fostered, and collective action was inspired. It was a celebration of resilience, community, and hope.
